Softball Recap: Cache Comes Up Short

Cache was the 6-1 winner over Newcastle when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 6-3 to the Racers on Friday.

Cache's defeat dropped their record down to 27-16. As for Newcastle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5-1 record this season.

Cache has already played their next game (against Southmoore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Newcastle, they will challenge Blanchard on Thursday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Racers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
