Basketball Game Preview: Live Oak Acorns vs. Notre Dame Regents

The Live Oak Acorns are taking a road trip to challenge the Notre Dame Regents at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Live Oak will be strutting in after a victory while Notre Dame will be coming in after a loss.

Live Oak is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They strolled past Aptos with points to spare, taking the game 39-20. That's two games straight that the Acorns have won by exactly 19 points.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame came up short against Menlo School on Tuesday and fell 56-48.

Live Oak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.9 points over those games. Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Live Oak came up short against Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 42-31. Can Live Oak avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
