Sauk Rapids-Rice took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 32-28 W over Cambridge-Isanti. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Storm considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Waconia lost to Chaska at home by a 20-3 margin on Friday. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Waconia's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
