Football Recap: Weymouth Extends Winning Streak to Four

Weymouth won against Newton North last Friday with 34 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the New Bedford Whalers a 34-0 shutout. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

The victory keeps Weymouth at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.5 points on average this season. As for New Bedford, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Weymouth will venture away from home to face off against Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
