Basketball Recap: Norwin Comes Up Short

Norwin came up into this matchup off a tough 22-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Shaler Area Titans by a score of 40-38 on Sunday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Norwin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Shaler Area, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwin will square off against Upper St. Clair at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Upper St. Clair's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Shaler Area, they will host Penn Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Shaler Area is facing Penn Hills at the right time seeing as Penn Hills is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
