Holy Family Catholic had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 39-8 win over the New London-Spicer Wildcats. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Fire's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Wildcats are ranked 46th).

Looking ahead, Holy Family Catholic will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New London-Spicer, they will head out on the road to challenge Litchfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
