Soccer Recap: Landmark Christian Comes Up Short

Landmark Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitefield Academy WolfPack. If Landmark Christian were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to Whitefield Academy when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Landon Darko and Bryson Doggett scored all three of Landmark Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Landmark Christian suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 8-3. As for Whitefield Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Landmark Christian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against Chapel Hill on the 31st. As for Whitefield Academy, they will take on Lovett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Whitefield Academy's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Lovett has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
