Volleyball Recap: North Newton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

North Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the West Central Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-16.

Rylynn Klemz paced North Newton's offense, picking up six kills. Klemz got some help from Riley Higgins and her five assists. Andrijana Barron controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

North Newton's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for West Central, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 12-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Newton is set to challenge their familiar foe Tri-County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Central will face off against rival South Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
