Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Garfield

Legacy and Garfield are an even 4-4-2 against one another since December of 2019, but likely not for long. The Legacy Tigers will face off against the Garfield Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Legacy is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Roosevelt on Wednesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Garfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 4-1 to South Gate. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 959th, while the Rams are ranked 187th).

With that draw, Legacy's record moves to 7-2-1. As for Garfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-2.

Legacy took their victory against Garfield when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. Does Legacy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Garfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
