Softball Recap: Schley County Takes a Loss

Schley County and Lanier County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Schley County had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 8-0. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Wildcats, who fell 11-9 when the teams last met back in October of 2018.

Schley County has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Lanier County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

While Schley County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
