Softball Recap: Macon Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Macon can now relate to. They lost 9-3 to the Chillicothe Hornets on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on October 2nd.

Macon has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Chillicothe, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Macon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chillicothe, they have already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Doniphan on the 1st.
