Softball Recap: Gilman City's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Gilman City entered their tilt with Grundy County on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Panthers. While the Hawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Gilman City's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Grundy County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Gilman City will challenge North Harrison at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Grundy County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Green City at 5:00 p.m.
