Last Wednesday, Oakmont lost to Lincoln at home by a 59-43 margin.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Marysville's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bear River.

Oakmont will have to keep a close watch on Abigail Pietz and Demi Boykin, a pair of players who had a big impact on Marysville's prior game. Pietz went 7 for 15 en route to 23 points along with seven boards and six steals, while Boykin dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Pietz has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 48 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Valencia, who posted six points.

Marysville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Oakmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.
