Baseball Game Preview: Christian Heritage Lions vs. Coosa Eagles

The Christian Heritage Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Coosa Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Christian Heritage has six straight wins, Coosa has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Saturday, Christian Heritage got the win against Dade County by a conclusive 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Coosa lost 12-2 to Gordon Lee on Friday.

Christian Heritage pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Coosa, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Christian Heritage took their victory against Coosa when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christian Heritage since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
