Baseball Recap: Boulder Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

With a playoff win on the line, Boulder rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Legacy Lightning Bolt. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 12-1 victory the Lightning Bolt walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Maks Matheson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Finn Torvik was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Boulder is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Coming up, Boulder will challenge Fairview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
