Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Trinity Christian took on Whitewater on Thursday. The Lions came up short against the Wildcats, falling 9-1. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Trinity Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Aycock, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. Aycock is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season.

Trinity Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Whitewater, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

The future could be bright for both Trinity Christian and Whitewater: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Lions will try to hand Mary Persons their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Whitewater will look to extend Troup County's five-game losing streak when they meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
