Basketball Game Preview: Vacaville Christian Falcons vs. Faith Christian Lions

Vacaville Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Martinez, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals. Martinez is becoming a predictor of Vacaville Christian's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 15-2 (and 2-9 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Vizcay, who had 13 points along with six assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian came tearing into Thursday's game with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Knights 73-43. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Faith Christian's win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Vacaville Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.

Vacaville Christian was taken down by Faith Christian 76-26 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Faith Christian's Lauren Harris, who shot 11-for-21 from long range and dropped a double-double with 41 points and 12 rebounds.
