Softball Recap: Robert Toombs Christian Academy's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Robert Toombs Christian Academy dropped to 11-5 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots, falling 10-1. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

As for Citizens Christian Academy, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3. Considering they have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Citizens Christian Academy's part, Mattie Lewis was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave Lewis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Cravey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Coming up, Robert Toombs Christian Academy will host Brentwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Twiggs Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
