Soccer Recap: Shafter Wins Going Away Against Delano

Shafter's match on Tuesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand the Delano Tigers a 3-0 shutout. That three goal margin sets a new team best for the Generals this season.

They hit Delano with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dayana Gil, Thanya Galindo, and Alexandria Cooper.

Shafter now has a winning record of 3-2-3. As for Delano, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Shafter wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Taft on the 10th. Delano has also already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Wasco on the 9th.
