Soccer Game Preview: Gilmer vs. Heritage

Gilmer is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Thursday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Heritage Generals at 7:00 p.m. Gilmer will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

Gilmer is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Dawson County 9-1 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bobcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Heritage managed to keep up with Calhoun until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Heritage lost 4-0 to Calhoun.

Gilmer's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Heritage, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Gilmer beat Heritage by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2019, winning 3-2. Will Gilmer repeat their success, or does Heritage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
