Softball Recap: La Conner Comes Up Short

La Conner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 22-3 to the Tonasket Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 31-5 on Saturday.

La Conner saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Penelope Gwin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

La Conner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tonasket, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Conner will welcome Concrete at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give La Conner their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Tonasket, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chelan at 4:00 p.m. on April 10.
