Klein Collins extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 36-30 W against the Klein Bearkats. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearkats, too.

Braydon Schoggin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 150 yards and four scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 121 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Klein fell to 4-1. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Loss or not, Klein got some senior leadership from Edward Kelly Jr and Grant Stratta. Kelly Jr rushed for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, while Stratta rushed for 119 yards and one score on only 12 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 70 yards.

Klein Collins has already played their next game, a 36-35 defeat against Klein Oak on the 3rd. As for Klein, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-47 loss against Tomball on the 3rd.
