Basketball Recap: Western Christian Wins Going Away Against Charter Oak

Western Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Charter Oak on Tuesday. The Fighting Lancers were the clear victors by a 49-25 margin over the Chargers. For the Fighting Lancers, this counts as revenge for the 38-29 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Jordin Edwards had another great game (as she tends to do), going 7-for-11 to rack up 17 points and four steals. Edwards is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was CeCe Balderrama, who shot 45% from the field en route to 9 points and six rebounds.

Western Christian's record is now 3-4. As for Charter Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Western Christian will take on Edgewood in a tournament on Thursday. As for Charter Oak, they will be taking part in a tournament against Gabrielino at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
