            Softball Recap: Jefferson Yellowjackets vs. Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight  loss. They came up short against  the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors, falling  18-12. Even if the Yellowjackets couldn't come away with the  win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
  Rylee Perrine made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Olivia Van Soelen, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record  this season.
 Jefferson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  6-1  loss against Bishop Heelan Catholic on the 17th. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  13-3  victory against Sioux City West on the 17th.
