Meanwhile, Heritage waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Warriors, posting a 69-40 win. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Warriors are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Heritage's win came from a few key players Brentwood School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sierra Maxwell, who went 8 for 18 to rack up 19 points along with eight assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Legacy Benjamin, who went 10 of 14 en route to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Brentwood School is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.9 points. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's contest: Brentwood School has been dynamite from deep this season, having drained 34.4% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Heritage, though, as they've only made 23.5% of their three-pointers this season. Given Brentwood School's sizable advantage in that area, Heritage will need to find a way to close that gap. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
