Basketball Recap: Live Oak Takes a Loss

Live Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 46-31 bruising from the Gridley Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-34 back in January.

Despite the loss, Live Oak saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rhyen Bidasha posted 11 points. Larysa Myers was another key player, putting up seven points.

Live Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Gridley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-15.

Live Oak has already played their next contest, a 48-36 loss against Oroville on the 11th. As for Gridley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 48-27 defeat against Orland on the 11th.
