Volleyball Recap: Central's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games

Central was the 3-0 winner over Putnam Vo-Tech when they last played one another on September 8th, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The loss was the Golden Eagles' first of the season.

Yarielis Cordero paced Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Cordero got some help from MyKella Meadows and her 15 assists. Cordero was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 11-1. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against West Springfield on the 1st. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Easthampton/Hampshire on the 1st.
