Baseball Recap: Schuylerville Gets the Win

Schuylerville won the last time they faced Fonda-Fultonville and things went their way on Friday too. The Horses won by a run and slipped past the Valley Hawks 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Horses.

Jack Boden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Schuylerville's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 9-11 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Schuylerville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Jennings, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Schuylerville's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they moved to 12-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
