Football Recap: West Elk Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for West Elk's offense. They were outmatched by the Oswego Indians and fell 49-0. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jaxson Bogdahn threw for 94 yards on 12 of 22 attempts. Ryatt Griesel was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards.

West Elk's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Oswego, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, West Elk will head out to take on Cedar Vale/Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oswego, they will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
