Soccer Game Preview: Hoover vs. Pasadena

Hoover is 0-9-1 against Pasadena since December of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Hoover Tornados will take on the Pasadena Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hoover is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Burbank.

Hoover's goal came courtesy of Amanda Laguna, who's now up to 12 this season.

Meanwhile, Pasadena managed to keep up with Arcadia until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Pasadena lost 6-1 to Arcadia. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Pasadena's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5-1. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Hoover came up short against Pasadena in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Hoover avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
