Baseball Game Preview: King's Knights vs. Lakeside Eagles

The King's Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Lakeside Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. King's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Lakeside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between King's and Overlake, and Overlake kept the tradition alive. The Knights fell 5-2 to the Owls on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lakeside fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Colville on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 24th.

Lakeside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colby Compau, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

King's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Lakeside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.
