C.J. Williams of Arizona tops national high school basketball scoring leaderboard

American Leadership Academy junior is pouring in 43.2 points per game.

C.J. Williams of American Leadership Academy (Sierra Vista, Ariz.) is high school basketball’s leading scorer nationally according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The junior guard is averaging 43.2 points per game and has scored at least 50 points in six games.

Gabe Davenport of Zion Christian Academy (Columbia, Tenn.) is second at 40.8 points per game. He has scored at least 40 points in 13 games including 64 on Nov. 21. Davenport also averages 4.7 steals and 3.5 assists per contest.

Five-star junior Jason Crowe Jr. of Inglewood (Calif.) is No. 11 at 35.3 points per game. Crowe scored 55 points and dished out seven assists in a Dec. 26 matchup against fellow five-star Alijah Arenas of Chatsworth (Calif.). Alabama, Kentucky and UCLA are among the programs that have extended offers.
