Softball Game Preview: Sprayberry Yellow Jackets vs. Paulding County Patriots

The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets will take on the Paulding County Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sprayberry couldn't beat Blessed Trinity on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Yellow Jackets fell 11-8 to the Titans. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Graci Pederson was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Pederson was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Jordan Simpson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Paulding County also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Woodstock by a score of 11-6.

Aubree Busby was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. Those doubles were her first of the season.

Paulding County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Sprayberry, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Sprayberry beat Paulding County 9-6 when the teams last played back in August of 2019. Do the Yellow Jackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
