The Crestview Cougars will take on the Seneca East Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Crestview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Monroeville with a sharp 7-1 victory. Seven seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Drew Spoerr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has become a key player for Crestview: the team is 6-3 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Brayden Parrigan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Landon Fulk was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Seneca East hadn't done well against Carey recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Blue Devils. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won five contests in a row.
The team relied heavily on Branson Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Branson Finnell, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Seneca East's victory bumped their record up to 18-6-1. As for Crestview, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Crestview has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Seneca East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Crestview skirted past Seneca East 6-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
