Soccer Recap: Faith Baptist Christian Academy Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous six contests, Faith Baptist Christian Academy brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let the CES Academy Knights get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Faith Baptist Christian Academy's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting CES Academy from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Robert Barber led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist Christian Academy will square off against Southside Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Faith Baptist Christian Academy is facing Southside Christian at the right time seeing as Southside Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for CES Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Victory Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on April 7.
