California Lutheran can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 28-25 victory over the La Sierra Academy Knights. The C-Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

California Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cailin Schroeder out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Schroeder has scored at least a third of California Lutheran's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Redeemed Ebulu, who posted six points.

California Lutheran's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for La Sierra Academy, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
