Softball Recap: Wheeler Comes Up Short

Wheeler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against the Cherokee Warriors, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 21-0 defeat on Tuesday.

Wheeler's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Cherokee, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wheeler is set to face off against their familiar foe Marietta at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cherokee will challenge rival Walton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.2, the Raiders 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
