Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Skates Past North Hills Christian with Ease

While Trinity Prep didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the North Hills Christian Eagles 53-21 on Thursday. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 27 points or more this season.

Leading Trinity Prep to victory were Avigail McDonald and Allie Duncan. McDonald went 14 of 28 en route to 31 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Duncan dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was McDonald's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Falsini, who posted four points along with seven boards and three steals.

Trinity Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Trinity Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for North Hills Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Trinity Prep has already played their next game, a 48-41 win against Averroes on the 17th. As for North Hills Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-24 victory against Napa Christian on the 21st.
