Basketball Recap: Amador Valley Comes Up Short

Amador Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Montgomery Vikings, falling 57-36. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while the Vikings are ranked 216th).

Amador Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Montgomery, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amador Valley will challenge Livermore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery, they will take on Rancho Cotate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
