Baseball Recap: Brooks County Takes a Loss

Brooks County lost to Atkinson County back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans lost 13-1 to the Rebels. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Conner Priest was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has become a key player for Brooks County: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-11 otherwise.

Brooks County's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Atkinson County, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Brooks County will be playing in front of their home fans against Charlton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Atkinson County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-8 win against Montgomery County on the 6th.
