Basketball Recap: Leilani Wright Key Part of a Team Effort in Mustangs Win

Mountain View Academy saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Central Valley Christian Academy Mavericks 47-45.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leilani Wright, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wright has scored at least a third of Mountain View Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Mackey, who went 8 for 19 on her way to 21 points and three steals.

Mountain View Academy now has a winning record of 4-3.

Mountain View Academy has already played their next matchup, a 40-32 win against Rio Lindo Adventist on the 23rd. As for Central Valley Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-18 victory against Paradise Adventist Academy on the 23rd.
