Basketball Recap: San Juan Spartans vs. Vacaville Christian Falcons
San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 53-15 loss at the hands of the Vacaville Christian Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-19 back in January.
Vacaville Christian found their leader in freshman Elena Vizcay, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. Vizcay is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jenna Glide, who posted nine points and three steals.
San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Vacaville Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-9.
San Juan will look to defend their home court on Friday against Woodland Christian at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Woodland Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches. As for Vacaville Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Lindhurst at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
