Soccer Game Preview: Boulder City vs. Moapa Valley

The Boulder City Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Moapa Valley Pirates at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Boulder City's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, Boulder City and Pahrump Valley finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

The Eagles' goal came courtesy of Malley Jobin, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Moapa Valley kept a clean sheet against Cristo Rey St. Viator on Monday. They put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 5-0 victory. With that win, Moapa Valley brought their scoring average up to 2.6 goals per game.

Moapa Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matchups. Boulder City's draw makes their record 4-3-3 this season.

Boulder City took their win against Moapa Valley in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
