Softball Recap: Meridian HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Meridian HomeSchool lost against Newton County Academy on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The FLYERS lost 23-2 to the Generals. The FLYERS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meridian HomeSchool saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kirklynn Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Roberts has got this season.

Meridian HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Newton County Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian HomeSchool will take on Sylva Bay Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Newton County Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Laurel Christian at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
