It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Twin River ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the McCool Junction Mustangs 59-57. With that win, the Titans brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.

Twin River's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colsten Rodriguez, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Corbin Rodriguez, who shot 40% from the field en route to 17 points and six assists.

When it comes to explaining why McCool Junction lost, don't look at Carson McDonald. Despite the final result, he went 14-for-25 on his way to 31 points and eight boards. McDonald's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Jaxon McDonald was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

Twin River now has a winning record of 3-2. As for McCool Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Twin River will be home for the holidays to greet Fullerton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 63.5 points per game this season. As for McCool Junction, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelby-Rising City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
