Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Preparatory Rams vs. North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe

Heritage Preparatory is on a three-game streak of home losses, and North Georgia HomeSchool a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Heritage Preparatory Rams will host the North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe at 5:00 p.m. Heritage Preparatory has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Heritage Preparatory after they put the first runs on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 11-2 to Harvester Christian Academy.

North Georgia HomeSchool never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Upstate on Saturday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 10-7.

Kirk Dotson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. Dotson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Sikorski, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Dill, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

North Georgia HomeSchool always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Heritage Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
