Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schurr). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the San Gabriel Matadors 55-14. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Despite the loss, San Gabriel still got an impressive performance from Jahkai Lowe, who picked up 122 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 88 yards.

The victory got Schurr back to even at 3-3. As for San Gabriel, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Looking ahead, Schurr will take on Mark Keppel at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Spartans will be up against the Aztecs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for San Gabriel, they will square off against Bell Gardens at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Lancers' defense has only allowed 10.7 points per game this season, so the Matadors' offense will have their work cut out for them.
