Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Victory Christian Academy and Ferndale squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Victory Christian Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Ferndale Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Victory Christian Academy dropped their record down to 13-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Ferndale, St. Vincent de Paul, and St. Vincent de Paul. As for Ferndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Victory Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ferndale, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 33-28 victory against St. Vincent de Paul on the 26th.
