Baseball Recap: Hardaway Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Hardaway had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Monroe Golden Tornadoes 18-2.

Jayden Foster made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Christian Eleby was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Nick Hudson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.

Coming up, Hardaway will take on Chattahoochee County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe, they will challenge Mitchell County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
