Softball Recap: Truman Takes a Loss

Truman's last matchup with Fort Osage could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Patriots lost 9-3 to the Indians. The Patriots have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Haylee Parker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and one run. Parker is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Truman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Fort Osage, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Truman will host St. Michael the Archangel at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Osage, they will venture away from home to challenge Excelsior Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
